About Dr. Andrew Shea

PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert. DN

Andrew has an extensive background in sports medicine, physical therapy, and strength and conditioning. He ran Division One track at the University of Rhode Island where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Exercise Science. Andrew then attended American International College to acquire his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and graduated Salutatorian. While in graduate school he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He was a collegiate strength coach for Men and Women's Track and Men's soccer teams. Andrew spent a clinical rotation with Harvard University sports medicine and time working with Texas A&M's Strength and Conditioning program for Men's Golf, Men and Women's Track and Field, Women's Volleyball, and Swim.

Andrew was the lead physical therapist for CHI St. Joseph for over 5 years. During this time he oversaw all of Blinn College Athletic's Physical Therapy. He also has a unique background working with equine athletes, particularly, Rodeo including NFR qualifying and PRCA athletes. His experience includes training and treating all levels of athletes from youth to professional.
